Bush Desperately Needs a "House Democrat": Joe Lieberman is His Man

I SUSPECT JOE SUPPORTS THE INSANE IRAQ POLICIES OF BUSH BECAUSE HE IS JEWISH AND HE CARES MORE ABOUT THE SECURITY OF ISRAEL THEN THE DEATHS OF 2500 PLUS AMERICAN G.I.s AS YOU MUST KNOW, HE ALSO FAVORS AMERICAN ATTACKS UPON IRAN AND SYRIA. JOE IS A LIAR BECAUSE HE WON'T ACKNOWLEDGE THIS AND NO ONE IN EITHER PARTY OR THE MEDIA WILL DARE ASK HIM.

6 years ago, Lieberman was tapped to secure the Florida vote... The repugs negated the will of the people in Florida. Today, Lieberman is exposed as a traitor to the USA constitution, which he falsely swore to defend. So today, he is defending his treason against Ned Lamont who might actually uphold the USA constitution... So we get to see if voters favor the USA constitution, or if they favor a traitor. This second group refused to sit back and ignore what was being revealed by scholars and other experts among them, and they continued investigating this most fateful day for themselves. In beltway pundit news speak, honesty is is defined as "speaking from the gut" and "holding to ones convictions" no matter what the facts are. Being principled is voting against the interests and will of your constituents. Voting with your corporate lobbyist campaign contributors is making the tough decisions, sticking to your guns and not allowing yourself to be swayed by such irrelevancies as public opinion. It is smart strategy for Republicans to play to their base, but a disaster for Democrats to do so. When a Republican takes a stand on gay marriage or flag burning, they are standing up for what they believe. When Democrats stand up for Social Security, Universal Health Care or a rise in the minimum wage, they are pandering to their base. See, it's all relative.

To say that Ned Lamonts candidacy is a challenge to Joe Liebermans honesty is naive. Only those who live in a dream world and have not investigated what the PNAC brigade did to bring about the disaster in Iraq would come up with this absurd statement. Those of us who from the beginning - when only Senator Byrd warned of the disastrous path congress green lighted for this administration - have been looking for leaders with spine to challenge this woefull administration. Joe is just weak. He was too weak to fight for his own vice presidency. So weak he still ran for senate for his own benefit. The problem with Joe is that - it is all about him. When people see Joe supporting and kissing the same guy who has no intention of changing course in Iraq regardless of whose children and family members are killed - with no end in sight or even sufficiently articulated, why then common sense tells us that this guy is out of touch. Joe was not ordained to be senator. He was elected. Ned Lamont is not just a national effort of the antiwar internet crowd. He is an american whose common sense tells him staying the course in Washington is not good enough. Ned Lamonts candidacy represents the best of America. Ned Lamont, the citizen, has the courage to speak truth to power. Recall the Norman Rockwell painting of "free speech" ? Look again and you will see the face of Ned Lamont.

Joe Lie berman is about as honest as Bush is a Christian. Yes, its the old gang-up method (like when you were a kid) as evidenced in Bushs' foreign policy. Get a few on your side and gang-up on one (because you certainly couldn't do it alone). Whether it's a Democrat to claim "nonpartisan" against a questionable or bad bill or action, or the multilateralism vs unilateralism dealing with N Korea, the appearance is the same. Anyone aligning themselves like this is nothing less than a bully.
