Colbert to make mark on presidential primary -- on the road in Philadelphia

Former almost presidential candidate Stephen Colbert wants to make his mark on the presidential primary, but he'll do it with a week-long broadcast from Philadelphia April 14-17.

On a map, New York is next to Pennsylvania, and Philadelphia is not that far for the "Colbert Report" to travel.

His guests on the program include Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter and Philly native Chris Matthews (Monday), Gov. Ed Rendell (Wednesday) and Rep. Patrick Murphy (Thursday). Murphy, a Congressman from Philadelphia, is the only Iraq War veteran to serve in Congress, and was awarded the Bronze Star.

Nutter and Rendell are Hillary Clinton supporters. Murphy has endorsed Barack Obama.

Colbert tried to get his name on the Democratic and Republican ballots in South Carolina. No word on whether Obama or Clinton will stop by the tapings. The "Colbert Report" will be on site at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania.
