For reporting that is an embarrassment to the profession of journalism, and for being beholden to corporate paymasters rather than the citizens of America.

Perhaps we just crown of the king of Media Putzes. After all, he's the epitome of right-wing talk radio: a pill-popping, Dominican Republic hedonist, thrice-married, demagogic fabulist. And don't forget that he's raking in the bucks for being a microphone for distracting working-class Americans from the corporations and wealthy people who are picking their pockets and stealing their jobs away in the middle of the night.

He's kind of like the huckster "Music Man," although the band never magically appears in River City. In fact, the factories just get shuttered and the town residents are left to fend for themselves when natural disasters occur. They are just suckers, and Limbaugh is an expert at playing the class warfare shell game.

BuzzFlash last honored Rush on May 22 as its Media Putz that week for claiming a school paper written by a 10th grader years back was a scholarly offering by a professor. But you could pick a day -- any day -- and find more than enough dross to "honor" Limbaugh as a BuzzFlash Media Putz.

A number of online sites have noted one of the "anal cyst" man's most recent Don Imus style slurs:

Media Matters notes that on his radio show yesterday, Rush Limbaugh told a caller that "Democrats will bend over, grab the ankles, and say have your way with me" to African-Americans and gays:

CALLER: Hello. I want to know how the Republicans don't need Christians and conservatives, and they think we're 30 percent. Twelve percent black people in the population. Ten percent -- they claim -- homosexuals in the population. Rush, honey, when did 30 percent get to be a small number?

LIMBAUGH: I don't -- I think it's actually larger than 30 percent. But let me see if I can get your question right. You want to know why the Republicans are willing to say, "Screw you," to 30 percent or more of their voters and yet Democrats will bend over, grab the ankles, and say, "Have your way with me," for 10 percent and 2 percent of the population?

CALLER: Delicately, yes.

We don't know what Limbaugh does on his Viagra trips to the Caribbean, but he better hope that there are not photos of his activities, because he wouldn't want BuzzFlash to salute him simultaneously as the Media Putz and the GOP Hypocrite of the Week. That would be a first for us, but if anyone deserved it, it would be Rush. You just can't keep a charlatan down.

Right-wing hate talk radio worms its way into the basest instincts and emotions of its listeners. Limbaugh is a master at that, which is giving the devil his due -- and he is, once again, the BuzzFlash Media Putz of the Week.
