BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE
"Clinton vows to fight on [1]. 'I'm staying in this race until there's a nominee,'...''. Having issued a challenge, the outcome may not be what Hillary Clinton was hoping to obtain!! "Obama plans to announce a stream of endorsements by superdelegates -- the party officials and officeholders who aren't bound by the results of primaries and caucuses -- including three who backed him yesterday. The campaign also confirmed that Jennifer McClellan, a Virginia superdelegate, shifted her support to Obama from Clinton. At that rate, he may have as many superdelegates as Clinton by the weekend." Support for Mrs. Clinton is waning, and there could be a nominee sooner rather than later!!!
Finally someone with enough courage [2] to verbalize the fact that mainstream corporate media is racist! My hat's off to Father Andrew Greeley [3]. "Why is McCain somehow not responsible for Hagee while Obama is responsible for Wright? I suggest the difference is that the senator from Illinois is a Kenyan American and the senator from Arizona a white American...the watchdog group Media Matters points out in a recent report, two elite papers -- The New York Times and The Washington Post -- have paid 12 times as much attention to Obama's clergy as to McCain's. Since McCain accepted Hagee's endorsement on Feb. 27, the Times has published 46 articles about Obama and Wright and five articles about McCain and Hagee. The Post's score is 53-3. The Times has produced 22 editorials and op-eds that mention Obama and Wright and two about McCain and Hagee, and the Post scores 40-2...The same observation could be made of the rigged "debate" on ABC. Both Charles Gibson and George Stephanopoulos knew what they were doing...I charge the editors of both papers, and Gibson and Stephanopoulos, of intellectual dishonesty, flawed ethics and McCarthyism." And I charge that mainstream corporate media has an agenda and is psychologically attempting to sway public opinion, for reasons of their own, rather than objectively reporting the news!
It is comforting and encouraging to know there are still a few good men in America! Of those men, some are forced out, bowed out, early retirement, military men and they deserve to be singled out and recognized! Thanks to BuzzFlash for the most recent Wings of Justice recognition [3] of Air Force Col. Morris Davis. "Col. Davis, joins the long line of Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine lawyers who have chosen to sacrifice their military legal careers in order to protect and defend the Constitution and the Rule of Law. Col. Davis first made news in October 2007, when he resigned as chief Gitmo prosecutor, and submitted his resignation from the Air Force, within hours after his policy -- which prohibited military prosecutors from using evidence obtained through waterboarding -- was overturned by the incoming Defense Department General Counsel William Haynes. ‘The guy who said waterboarding is A-OK, I was not going to take orders from. I quit,' Davis said."
"The Bush administration has not found disaster backup files for White House e-mails from a three-month period in 2003, according to court documents filed this week, raising the possibility that messages sent before and after the invasion of Iraq may be gone." Of course those "e-mails are gone [4]." What's the first thing a criminal does when he's worried about the possibility of being caught? Gets rid of incriminating evidence, that's what! The Repuglicans have always covered their rear-ends! One of the most important pieces of equipment in a Repuglicans office is the SHREDDER and the next is an IT guy who knows how to "obliterate" incriminating computer files that could prove guilt! Why would anyone even think the same guys who started an illegal preemptive unnecessary war would keep evidence that proved them guilty of such a horrendous act!!!!
