Subject: Randy's Question to the Mailbag

Randy, of Austin, TX [1] asked BuzzFlash for its sources for believing that genetically modified food is unsafe for human consumption.

Perhaps this will answer some of his questions:

"Overwhelming evidence to support this conclusion is now compiled in the book Genetic Roulette: The documented health risks of genetically engineered foods, which presents an abundance of adverse findings and theoretical risks associated with GM foods.

The book documents lab animals with damage to virtually every system studied; thousands of sick, sterile, or dead livestock; and people around the world who have traced toxic or allergic reactions to eating GM products, breathing GM pollen, or touching GM crops at harvest. It also exposes many incorrect assumptions that were used to support GM approvals. This article, excerpted from my book, summarizes some of the findings related to allergic and immune responses."

Subject: Bush the Nazi expert

"We have heard this foolish delusion before," Bush said in
remarks to the Israeli Knesset. "As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in
1939, an American Senator declared: 'Lord, if only I could have talked
to Hitler, all of this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation
to call this what it is - the false comfort of appeasement, which has
been repeatedly discredited by history."

Bush should know his Nazi history, after all, his grandfather
Prescott Bush got rich dealing with Hitler until our government put a
stop to it.

Subject: Bush Is Setting Jews Up

"For what?"

"Scapegoating."

"Should, that is, a defeated U.S. of A. have to pull out of Iraq and
Iran?"

"With our armed forces proving to be no match for a populace that's
determined to take back their homeland and won't give up."

"Whereas here in America the reaction to such a military defeat will
be a mix of humiliation, outrage and disillusionment."

"Such that MSM's talking heads will be clamoring for a scapegoat."

"A role, alas, that the Jew is only too familiar with, having served
as the officially designated scapegoat for much of the past couple
millenia."

"What'll happen is that one of these talking heads will say something
like 'Wait a second, remember when President Bush was in Jerusalem and
spoke about his having been told that if only America would break its
ties with Israel, all the problems in the Arab-Islamic world would
melt away?'"

"But that he'd never do such a thing because America and Israel were
partners in the fight against evil."

"After which the talking head says to his audience, 'Guess who kept
President Bush from breaking those ties and getting us out of the
Mideast before we got our butts kicked?'"

"With the talking head anticipating that the preeminent online
response to this question will be 'Jews kept Bush from breaking those
ties, that's who."

"Thereby getting our president off the hook for having tricked us
into these blood for oil wars."

"Which after all is what scapegoating is about."

"Except even if such scapegoating is attempted, it's sure to fail."

"Why?"

"Because in November we'll be electing a president who'll end the
Iraq War, negotiate with Iran plus turning things around here at
home."

"And then what sort of world?"

"It'll be up to us."

Subject: Off the Table

I would dearly love to see the Bush/Cheney crew impeached. It
is difficult to stomach Nancy Pelosi's "off the table" attitude. I
hate to admit that there is some wisdom in the House Speaker's
approach to this problem. The impeachment process begins in the House
where the Democratic Party has a simple majority; no problem there...
The actual trial to determine the pResident's innocence or guilt
would take place in the Senate and would require a 2/3 majority vote
to convict. Anybody see a problem there? He could not be tried for
the same crimes again either; this would be considered double
jepordy.

By the way - how about our Little Hitler's performance in the
Israeli Knesset? Here's the grandson of the man (Prescott Bush) who
bankrolled the German Nazi Party whimpering about the appeasement of
fascists...priceless.

Subject: The new bin Laden Tape

I have had my suspicions about the "bin Laden" tapes for some
time, and I did a quick canvass of the reports on the latest one. My
suspicions have only grown. Let me demonstrate:

Reuters:
"The authenticity of the tape could not immediately be verified but
the voice sounded like bin Laden's."

Fox News:
"The authenticity of the message could not be verified, but it was
posted on a Web site commonly used by Al Qaeda and the voice
resembled the one in past bin Laden audiotapes."

ABC News: "The authenticity of the tape was not immediately confirmed
by U.S. officials, but people familiar with bin Laden's voice said
there was no doubt it was his."

United Press: "Western analysts on Friday were attempting to
authenticate an audiotape thought to be from Osama bin Laden and
containing anti-Israel threats."

Admittedly, we could get another news story in a few days that says
the audiotape was authenticated, but I've gone in search of such
stories over the past 5 years, and as far as I can tell, these
messages are NEVER authenticated.

All of which leads me to the same conclusion: bin Laden is dead.

Sincerely,

Subject: GWB's great-grandfather and grandfather

GW's comments and analogies and innuendos made in Israel were
ridiculous.

One could easily bring up the machinations of his great-grandfather
George Herbert Walker who was no stranger to practices which were
dishonorable and unwise.

He used fronts for his efforts (some successful) to do business with
Nazi Germany. There were Union Banking Corporation and Brown
Brothers Harriman, in which GHW and Prescott Bush were deeply
involved.

John Loftus, a prosecutor in the Justice Department's Nazi War Crimes
Unit, in 1994 decided to investigate the World War II negotiations
between Brown Brothers Harriman and Union Banking Corporation and
their relationships with Nazi Germany.

In 2002, Loftus commented "If Prescott Bush were alive today, I would
move to have him indicted for giving aid and comfort to the enemy in
time of war."

(The book entitled The Family by Kitty Kelley provides more detailed
revelations.)

Subject: Picking their own battles

Dear BuzzFlash:

With the announcement that California will have legal gay
marriage in about a month, the religious right was ready to pounce
with their assumptive righteous anger and judgment against the
homosexual community. Local AM radio wasn't much better - it's
amazing how these local yokel Bush fans think they're qualified to
speak on behalf of God and condemn whoever they want to without ever
thinking about whether they're being judgmental, which the Bible
certainly frowns upon. At least one caller had the courage,
considering the ultra-racist audience the show usually panders to, to
say that it was not his place to judge gays, and they hadn't done
anything personally to him.

Which brings us to the point: exactly what damage will a
married gay or lesbian couple do to us as individuals? Are they
not consenting adults with the right to their privacy, and have the
equal right to love and be loved? To hear the homophobes tell it,
the gay nation is on every street corner ready to assault us.

Weird.

What is stranger still is the silence that comes from the
religious right when the hot button issue involves polygamy, and how
lacking they are in addressing domestic violence against children and
women, and sex crimes against the same targets. Sin isn't ranked,
but I think pedophelia, polygamy and especially sexual or violent
abuse against children who cannot defend themselves is far more a
national disgrace and problem. Why don't these people have
anything to say about that, or very little? Too close to home,
perhaps?

Child abuse isn't just rampant in the Catholic church -
it's a huge problem in Southern Baptist country as well, with
ministers all over the place being arrested for sex crimes. One
would think the churches would cry out against this evil and distance
themselves as far as possible from these real monsters, but apparently
stopping gays from marriage is much more important.

Not a hoot about a genocidal president, either. If Judgment
Day does indeed occur, these disturbing and disturbed people will be
answering a lot of tough questions themselves, so maybe they oughta
shut up while they're ahead.
