Subject: Jesse Ventura, Former Governor Of Minnesota
Jesse Ventura correctly pegged a problem we now have, a problem we were warned about by John Adams, our second President; namely: We should never find ourselves with two competing political parties whose policies are equally the same. There is then a need for a third party. But a third party cannot come into play when the two existing parties virtually control who can debate and whose name can appear on our state-controlled ballots. There is nothing in the U.S. Constitution about "political parties" holding sway over the voting of "we, the people." Today, we need a third party which can challenge the two parties on many issues.

Subject: Media Bias
I would like to find out how we as citizens can hold the media's feet to the fire, especially the right like the William Kristols, Dobson, Limbaugh, ROVE. They all perpetuate such lies, and no one calls them on it. For example this one isn't a lie but just ignoring the obvious. McCain calling out Obama about his choice to not accept Campaign Finance money, but no mention that MCain has been running his campaign on illegal money from the beginning.

Subject: Nuclear Security
I have just finished reading this article that was featured on BuzzFlash:
European Nuclear Weapons Sites Lack Security, Says US Report [5] (dw-world.de)
Please, please tell me this is a bad joke. Does the irony jump out at anyone? Our United States Air Force is issuing a report about the lack of security at nuclear installations in Europe.
Excuse me, but wasn't it the US Air Force that flew nuclear bombs half way across the country (from North Dakota to Louisiana) without realizing it had put live warheads on said planes?
Who are they? Who is our government to be chastising anyone else for their breaches of whatever it may be they have supposedly breached?
The "Do As I Say But Not As I Do" mentality of leadership has never impressed me not even when I was slick sleeved private in US Army Basic Training.
It certainly doesn't wash now either. I wish to hell our government would shut the F*CK UP when they (quoting Judge Judy here) come into court with dirty hands.
The Bushies have continually said they don't care what anyone else thinks -- but it sure as hell seems they should care what We, the People have to say. This country belongs to US -- not to them.
May each and every Neopublicrat rot in hell.

Subject: The War Will End The Minute Our Troops & The Iraqi Resistance Reach Agreement On A Truce
"Based on?"
"The Christmas truce* between German and Allied troops during WW I."
"But why would our troops agree to a truce?"
"They know they're in a blood for oil war and life is dear."
"And the Iraqis?"
"Every poll shows them overwhelmingly wanting our troops out now."
"But what if there's a civil war after our troops leave?"
"Contrariwise, the same polls indicate there'll be less bloodshed after our troops get out than there is now."
"Won't our troops face military discipline including court martial?"
"One hundred and forty thousand court martials? Never!"
"Instead what?"
"They'll be greeted as the heroes that they are."
"And President Bush?"
"He'll be a goner, what with our returning troops asking "What was it, again, Mr. President, that you sent us off to fight and die for in Iraq?"
"Specifically?"
"After being impeached by Congress, he'll be carted away to an International Court, there to be tried for his crimes against humanity."
"And the outcome of said trial?"
"The judge will ask the members of the jury, 'Have you arrived at a verdict?'"
"With the jury chairperson responding 'Yes, your honor, guilty as charged.'"
"And then what sort of world?"
"It'll be up to us."

Subject: Imus "Hate?" Speech
IMUS: More racial comments = more hot water; Can't he go off to a ranch and then he can say what he wants. 6/25 [6]
Why can't he say whatever he wants anywhere in the United States? Is certain speech now illegal? Is it illegal to be a racist? I don't think so.

Subject: Barack On Religion
Hi, Buzz!!
It's quite true that the religious Reich likes to ignore the teachings of Jesus, especially when it comes to love, compassion, and forgiveness. I'm sure Sen. Obama is right when he says the Dept. of Defense couldn't survive a serious application of the Beatitudes.
What the Reich likes, of course, is the blood-and-thunder God of the Old Testament. But the other side of God, the one that Jesus shows us, is in the O.T. as well. This God even has a feminine side - yes, even in the Old Testament. Here's one of my favorite passages, which I've never heard the Reich discuss:
God speaks to Job out of the whirlwind and says: "Do you know when the mountain goats give birth? Do you attend the wild doe when she is calving? Can you count the months that they carry their young or know the time of their delivery, when they crouch down to open their wombs and deliver their offspring, when the fawns growing and thriving in the open country leave and do not return?" (Job 39:1-4, Revised English Version)
God is a midwife! What do you make of THAT, James Dobson?
Or what about this:
"Lord, my heart is not proud, nor my eyes haughty; I do not busy myself with great affairs or things to marvellous for me. But I am calm and quiet like a weaned child clinging to its mother. Israel, hope in the Lord now and forevermore." (Psalm 131, Revised English Version)
God is your MOTHER!!!!! What do you think of THAT, James Dobson?
Or yet this:
"You have turned my laments into dancing; you have stripped off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy..." (Psalm 31:11, Revised English Version
God is a DANCER!!!! And here we thought everyone in the arts was gay. My, my, my.
I'm not sure I have a point in this rant, unless it's to urge everyone not to take the Reich's word for what the Bible says. Read it yourselves. There's more there than either you or they know.
Barack Obama shows James Dobson and all of us there are other sides of religion -- Be-Elected [6]

Subject: For George
Buzz,
I wrote this in memory of George Carlin:
Time
flows by like a river
and we sit on the banks
awash with memories
of times
sans wrinkles
smiling
i sit by the banks again
aware that the river is the same
yet different
for the sun is in a different place
it's easy to hide
behind a pair of sunglasses
to hide my eyes
that may betray
a soul in turmoil
i jest
for at the end of the day
my disdain for the human race
in all its accomplishments
and all its failures
for all its promises
and its lies
is complete in every way

Subject: The Iraqi Resistance Will Never Give Up
"Based on?"
"In Kirkuk fifteeen years ago - The almost palpable spirit of resistance among the 200 or so Iraqi men and women who were gathered in an auditorium there to discuss the then 2 year old U.N. sanctions."
"We won't surrender even if these sanctions last twenty years is what they were saying."
"This despite the fact that two years into sanctions that were to last for another decade, mass starvation already had taken the lives of thousands of Iraqi children and elderly."
"Not surprising such determination, since native people everywhere resist the invader."
"As in the U. S. of A."
"Unto the genocide."
"But is this to be the fate of the Iraqis?"
"Not if we act to prevent it."
"How?"
"We elect a president who's going to end the Iraq War, negotiate with Iran plus turning things around here at home."
"And then what sort of world?"
"It'll be up to us."
