Hate Talk and Its Infectious Spittle ...The New Pandemic Pestilence?

BuzzFlash,
"The propagandist's purpose is to make one set of people forget that certain other sets of people are human." -- Aldous Huxley, The Olive Tree, 1937
How is hate talk different from brainwashing? According to Wikipedia, the CIA coined the word "brainwashing" in 1950, and it is the instilling of certain attitudes and beliefs into a person's mind that weren't originally there. Indirectly, the hate talk that comes out of the Bush Republican Party, if not stopped, will eventually not only play a part in the destruction of US democracy, but in the destruction of our planet as well.
Conservatism is usually thought of as a belief by those who want to cling to the past, to traditions. What is traditional about hate talk?
American citizens can get arrested and fined for marching for peace, wearing the word "peace," yet in this country, hate talk is sponsored, and paid big bucks as supporting freedom of speech. Great excuse, but just as the Bush GOP regime still goes without accountability for their violence, so goes hate talk without accountability for its violence.
We've been told that the American people are so particular about the shows on TV, about cursing, and sexy dialogue, yet this violent display of discourse has been able to go on for so long, and much of it comes from religious leaders.
What is traditional about the violence of invading other countries and lying to do so? These are not the conservatives of yesteryear, they worship a different god. The god of influence and affluence. The god of individual power over the sick, the poor, the elderly, the jobless, the down and out, depressed, and sometimes, the irrational, unstable individuals of our society, who need mental health care, but cannot afford it.
Yes, it does get people's attention when the type of violence that occurred in Tennessee this past week gets in the news. To the Bush GOP and their hate talk accomplices, what's a few more bodies after they have been responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths in Afghanistan, Iraq, and New Orleans? Not to mention their guilt for bringing a barrel of oil from twenty dollars to well over a hundred dollars, amounting to the largest profits ever in the history of the oil companies, and more hardships for the American people.
What do these people talk about? Threats that they will have to pay taxes. Blaming the liberals for them being forced to pay their way in this society. The first action any Republican does when in office is to give tax breaks to the wealthy, thus filling the coffers of the Republican Party. The conservative concept of the Bush Republicans today is seen and felt in their acts of selfishness, their acts of stinginess, and those attributes are supplemented along with an ample generosity of intolerance and bigotry.
Just about every criminal act one can think of has been committed within the past eight years by someone in this corrupted Bush GOP regime, and still they are telling us American citizens what we can and cannot do, what we can and cannot say.
A jobless individual, who claimed to hate liberals, a definition that he got from hate talk, just becomes another victim of this unstable, unaccountable Bush GOP ruled society that we live in today. Liberals would have been the ones who could have helped him if he had asked for it. Liberals would have been the individuals who would have cared. The word "liberal" will always be associated with words such as, giving, generous, charitable, tolerant, open-minded, unprejudiced, progressive. The word conservative will always be associated with everything opposite the word liberal.
The constant repetitive purpose of hate talk is to creep into the minds of those who are ignorant of the real facts in this country, those who don't understand the meaning of the words liberal or conservative, those who have a natural tendency for feelings of violence, those who feel isolated from society, those who have lost hope in their lives. Hate talk takes off the safety locks of guns in the hands of those blinded by their own broken dreams, who want to strike out and blame somebody, anybody, just to try and kill their own pain. Those who have lost the feeling of belonging, of community, can get a misconstrued idea that these hate talkers are on their side, are their friends, their buddies, and understand their pain, when all along, they are the ones who have supported the path taken these last eight years by the Bush GOP that has led to the largest debt ever for this nation, the deaths of countless innocent men, women, and children, and gargantuan amounts of destruction and fraud, causing much pain to all humanity on this planet.
The Bush GOP, under the guise of conservatism, has destroyed the lives of millions of people with their attacks and invasions into Afghanistan, Iraq, and their war against the citizens of this country, and they haven't stopped. They will not stop until they are stopped.
It's no longer what these spewers of hate can do for their country, but what they can do for themselves and get away with -- without having to take any responsibility for the consequences of their venomous blather, which continues to germinate into antisocial behavior and cause the kind of social disorder that kills and injures innocent people. This type of propaganda is another appendage from the Bush GOP administration used to create enough chaos and discord within US society, while allowing them to maneuver in secrecy without notice from Congress or US citizenry. The constant use and abuse of power. Spaced out, never enough power over people's lives. Just another out-of-control addiction.
"I know of no country in which there is so little independence of mind ... as in America." -- Alexis de Tocqueville, Democracy in America, 1835.
If Mr. Tocqueville could visit us today, what would he say, I wonder? Perfidious perfectionism in brainwashing ... the latest pandemic pestilence ... giving us all a living death?
