I think we could add a few more names to that quote and it would still ring true today. All of a sudden we keep hearing how people are concerned about how they want experience in the White House. What kind of experience? The kind that supported this illegal and criminal Bush GOP regime, without fail, for eight years? Bush, regardless of how much blood he has spilled or how much fraud he has allowed to go on, or the legislative war on the American people, was always supported by almost every Republican in Congress. When I saw the video of Bush playing with the small flag in his hand, my first thought was not of how he was desecrating the American flag as many were calling it, but wondering how many thousands of people did it take to put him in that crowd of people and make it look as if he was sitting there alone like any other person enjoying the surrounding events, and what is the bottom line that will be charged to US taxpayers. http://video.google.com/... Another picture came to mind. Does it occur to Bush that he is sitting in the country that bought all of the red ink that he and his criminal administration could supply? How is hate talk different from brainwashing? According to Wikipedia, the CIA coined the word "brainwashing" in 1950, and it is the instilling of certain attitudes and beliefs into a person's mind that weren't originally there. Indirectly, the hate talk that comes out of the Bush Republican Party, if not stopped, will eventually not only play a part in the destruction of US democracy, but in the destruction of our planet as well. Conservatism is usually thought of as a belief by those who want to cling to the past, to traditions. What is traditional about hate talk? The Bush GOP's cause and effect in Iraq has become their cause and has intensified through the years. MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON BuzzFlash, I guess the Supreme Court isn't interested in how many deaths we have every month around this gun totin' country. They get plenty of security, no doubt, as do the war mongers who travel with Bush. All any American has to do is just pick up any paper, on any day of the week, and somebody is getting shot, killed, DOA, and lately, three members last Sunday, in SF, were killed because of road rage by some gang member because they couldn't make a turn onto another street. Life has become to mean nothing in this country ... and that careless meaning for life, other than their own, has filtered down from the Bush Republican regime's violent policies and their legislative war on American citizens. It's being said that Obama is ahead of McCain by 12 points. One has to wonder where. Where are those who want this country back as a democracy again. A great place to raise families again.
