Years ago, during the Iranian hostage crisis of 1979-81, a colleague of mine and I took the train from Manhattan down to Princeton, New Jersey's Institute for Advanced Study, where we had an appointment with Bernard Lewis, the renowned, conservative Middle East scholar.
A BUZZFLASH NEWS ALERT
Washington, DC - On the same day 9/11 firefighters and families are in New Hampshire rebuking his failure to prepare New York City for a terrorist attack, Rudy Giuliani launched an ad that ironically touts his so-called leadership credentials. While Giuliani talks about "being tested" during "times of crisis" in the new ad, he has yet to answer questions from the 9/11 group who say he failed to protect firefighters and recovery workers from debilitating toxic air at Ground Zero.

W: Yeah, homerun guy. Nice to hear from you.
Barry: Ummm...thanks for taking my call.
W: Something important? You know, I'm a important guy. The importanter. You've called three times.
Barry: I've called fifteen times. But three...fifteen...what's the difference?
W: Ummm...nine? This a trick question?

Don’t fall for this blatant psychological subterfuge; it’s just plain downright dirty politics, practiced by Repuglican political misfits who think they can fool all the people all the time!!!

In 1972, Nixon's burglars, all members of the Committee to Reelect the President, had to risk breaking into Democratic National Headquarters to try to gain an unfair election advantage for the GOP over its Democratic opponent. Now, with Total Information Awareness in place, the Bush White House may not even have to flip a switch to have the Dems' private e-mails and phone conversations delivered to its doorstep. Unfortunately, this may only be the tip of the iceberg for the fate of free elections in America if Congress decides to grant legal status and retroactive immunity to this massive surveillance and data mining operation conducted by giant telecoms on behalf of the President.
