Barbara's Daily BuzzFlash Minute

A collection of insightful ruminations, reflections, and rants on the events of the day (with the exception of the weekend). We'll collect a week's worth here and then archive them. Come visit each weekday to see what's pushing Barbara's buttons.

"Good jobs, good high paying jobs," so says Bush! I guess he thinks a family of four making minimum wage with both parents working is an example of good high paying jobs. Talk about out of touch--compared to "my boy," Poppy was closer to the public than stink on a pile! One thing we can count on, George has never known our pain. I happened to see this jobs ad on a day when CNN had a woman who couldn't evacuate the area in danger due to the hurricane because she and her family couldn't afford the gas to get out, or the cost of a motel to stay in during the hurricane.

I'd sure hate to be George Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and Paul Wolfowitz when their ardent supporters finally figure out they, too, as citizens of the United States, are in peril! Now that's a thought--all those die hard, kick 'em when they're down, rabid, right-wing fanatics with a bone to pick. Can you just imagine for a moment how they will eat these guys up and spit them out? Zell Miller sold his soul to back George Bush, giving the safety of his family as an excuse. But when they all finally realize that because of George this country is in graver danger than ever before, George will really need God's help!

What goes around comes around--It isn't that George Bush got preferential treatment to get into the National Guard, it isn't that he didn't fully complete his service, it isn't even that he was AWOL, it's the fact that HE LIED ABOUT IT!!! Where's Ken Starr and Bob Barr when you need them? Don't you think it's about time Ken and Bob get busy and dig up every salacious thing that Bush ever did and inform the public, don't you think Congress should begin hearings and bring Articles of Impeachment?? Because we certainly cannot stand to have the Oval Office and the presidency defamed by a liar!

Another document, and this one signed by George himself. It makes me wonder what they will do to explain away this one? Ignore it? Mainstream media, and CNN explicitly, have gone out of the way to give credence to the "bogus document" story, so I don't anticipate anything to be reported that would support the facts. The anchors have become more aggressive of late in their efforts to kiss Bush's ass and trash the truth. I wonder what axe they are grinding and why? Why in the world would Paula Zahn, Wolf Blitzer, Ron Brownstein, Jeff Greenfield, Bill Schneider, Judy Woodruff, Candy Cowley, Heidi Collins, Daryn Kagan, and the rest of the crew be supporting the moron?

Teresa Heinz Kerry, being a lady, called George Bush inflexible. Inflexible??? I would have said he's downright butt-ugly, spoiled brat, irresponsible, mule-headed stubborn! The "privileged son" of a rich man used to getting his own way and having tantrums when he doesn't. And, in my opinion, he and his administration are a blight on America causing degradation and chaos. It's time to return to a sane world, it's time to vote for someone who can do the job, it's time for John Kerry!

Years of heavy drinking can lead to permanent brain damage! The long term effects of heavy drinking can lead to permanent destruction of brain cells, causing lowered cognitive ability and can produce brain deterioration and atrophy (shrinking). The brain cells in various centers die, thereby reducing total brain mass! Could this cause one to misspeak the English language, or maybe become overly aggressive and confident? Is it the basis for being "misunderestimated," or perhaps causing a lack of conscience, and irresponsible behavior? Hmmm, I wonder?

Bill Clinton and Al Gore built a bridge to the 21st Century, but George Bush blew it up! We have returned to the times when bribery and intimidation are the order of the day, when cronyism and acceptance are rewards doled out for blind loyalty, when the rich get richer and the poor are doomed. It sounds like the old fashioned Repuglicans who didn't give a rat's ass about anyone except themselves. You can dress them in choir robes, or maybe a coat and tie, but that doesn't make them Christian. In fact none of the Bush policies sound very Christian to me!

AGAIN THE REPUGLICANS ARE TOUTING THE AMERICAN ENTERPRISE INSTITUTE AS INDEPENDENT. Yeah right, and my grandmother is married to J.Paul Getty!

If only they would use George Bush's flip-flopping, mispronounced, feel good, lies against him. How in God's name can anyone support the moron who doesn't have a clue? How can anyone suppose he's a leader? Our economy is down the tubes, most children are left behind, there is no healthcare for the working poor, living wage jobs have disappeared, our air and water is unfit for consumption, our forests are gutted, we are at war, American troops and innocent Iraqi citizens are dying on a daily basis, and the worst attack to ever occur on American soil happened on George Bush's watch! The brat posing as a man is responsible for turning America into a chaotic third world country.

CNN has finally gone over the top! George Bush has been severely criticized for using 9-11 as a campaign ploy. So what does CNN do for him, disguised as a "Political Playback"? You got it, they show the smirk with a megaphone, giving his canned "I can hear you" speech atop the rubble at Ground Zero. I wonder how many times we will be subjected to this propaganda? CNN has certainly lost any credibility they ever had at being objective!

Consistency---hmm, George Bush consistently told us he was "gonna get Osama bin Laden", HE HASN'T; he consistently alleged there was an "Al Qaeda connection with Saddam Hussein", THERE WASN'T; he consistently told us Iraq had Weapon's of Mass Destruction, THERE WEREN'T; he consistently told us the Iraqi's would greet us as liberators, THEY DIDN'T. You get the point here? The only thing consistent with George Bush is his ability to be WRONG and MUCK UP everything he touches.

One thing the Democrats must learn from the Repuglican political play book: support your candidate no matter what! If George Bush were to drop his pants and "moon" the public, you can be sure the Repugs would spin it as a necessary measure to garner the public's attention in order to win the war and stabilize the economy! Unless and until the Democrats stop finding fault and start supporting John Kerry in the same manner, the whole country is in jeopardy, because given Bush's history, he really could drop his pants at the next press conference!

While Vietnam is a history lesson on how not to fight a war, Vietnam is also a lesson in how to win the peace! When saner men are the driving force in a saner world, a positive result can be achieved. Through his efforts as a Veteran, John Kerry helped to bring an end to a terrible war and bring our troops home. Then, through his efforts as a United States Senator he helped to win the peace. This is but one of the reason's John Kerry is the best choice for President in November 2004!
