Methodology: For national polls, we calculate each candidates weighted polling average over the prior 45 days. Polls are weighted using fivethirtyeight.com’s Pollster Rankings, which rank pollsters based on polling methodology and historical accuracy. We’ve chosen to exclude candidates who haven’t exceeded 1% over the most recent 45-day sample period.

Methodology: For state polls, we calculate each candidate’s weighted polling average over approximately 45 days. State polling is more limited than national, so we may pull from a longer sample period if a state has few polls. Polls are weighted using fivethirtyeight.com’s Pollster Rankings, which rank pollsters based on polling methodology and historical accuracy. We’ve chosen to exclude candidates who haven’t exceeded 3% over the most recent sample period.
