Greg Abbott Wanted for Voluntary Homicide: Bounty of $1 Million for His Apprehension

Gregg Abbott, Republican Governor of Texas, is guilty of voluntary manslaughter and federal law should be invoked, with Congress passing a $1 million bounty for his apprehension. He is guilty of intentionally enabling the latest surge of COVID infections and deaths through his executive order against masks. Given that Florida and Texas together comprise some 40% of the current COVID surge death rate in the US, the same bounty should be applied to the arrest of Florida GOP Governor Ron DeSantis.
That the current Delta Surge is due to the pro-COVID leadership of Republican governors, other state leaders, such as Governor Kristi Noem (R-SD) should also be apprehended. They meet the criteria of prosecution under federal law. for the minimum charge of manslaughter.
18 U.S. Code § 1112 – Manslaughter
(a) Manslaughter is the unlawful killing of a human being without malice. It is of two kinds:
Voluntary—Upon a sudden quarrel or heat of passion.
Involuntary—In the commission of an unlawful act not amounting to a felony, or in the commission in an unlawful manner, or without due caution and circumspection, of a lawful act which might produce death.
(b )Within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States,
Whoever is guilty of voluntary manslaughter, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 15 years, or both;
Whoever is guilty of involuntary manslaughter, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 8 years, or both.
Whether Abbot and his fellow governors meet the standards of voluntary or involuntary manslaughter, or intentional homicide, would be for a prosecutor to decide and a jury to convict. Their shield of qualified immunity should be waived. The Department of Justice should propose and Congress pass legislation that allows citizens to hold Abbott and the other death spreading governors accountable for $1 million each, as well as jail time.
As is the case in the Draconian Texas Taliban anti-abortion law just passed, enablers of the GOP governors should also be forced to pay to citizen bounty hunters the $1 million penalty or portion thereof. These would include executive branch staff and enabling legislators.
It could also be argued that Abbott will be responsible for deaths or mutilations due to “alley” abortions, and relatives or survivors of such grotesque procedures should also be allowed to file bounty hunter fines against Gregg Abbott and the other Republican governors who are expected to enact similar laws.
The media and society should not be in the business of normalizing criminal behavior resulting in medical disasters and death simply because they are caused by political opportunists acting in a “public capacity.”
Such bounty hunting for GOP merchants of death has about a zero possibility of passage, but they should be emphasized because they bring home the reality of agents of death who act with impunity.
If we have to rely on citizen bounty hunters to put a halt to the GOP death cult, then let it begin.
