Incomprehensible Brazen Treachery: Trump Publicly Urges China to Investigate Bidens in Thursday Morning Remarks to DC Press Corps, More Grounds for Impeachment

BUZZFLASH NEWS ALERT

On Thursday, Trump Astonishingly Told Reporters That China Should Investigate the Bidens.

It is beyond comprehension

On Thursday morning, Trump told reporters that he was thinking about asking China to investigate the Bidens. In doing so, he was using the media to do just that, publicly declaring that he wants another foreign power to help him win the 2020 election.

Of course, this is mind boggling considering Trump is facing impeachment over asking the Ukranian president to try and dig up dirt on the Bidens. However, that was in a private phone call that just yesterday Trump accused House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff of "making up."

In fact, at an unhinged news conference on Wednesday -- his most appalling and scurrillous tantrum yet -- Trump refused to answer a reporter's question twice about the Zelensky call that was quite simple: "What about Mr. Biden? What did you want about Biden? What did you want him to look into about Biden?"

In essence, he was dodging responding to the White House documented edited summary of his Zelensky phone call that revealed his request for an investigation of the Bidens. He even asked that Zelensky have his administration contact Rudy Giuliani and Attorney General William Barr to follow up on his impeachable offense.

This morning, he committed another impeachable offense, amplifying his corruption and treachery by asking the media to transmit his message for China to assist him in the 2020 election. Of course, all this is occurring in the context of Trump denying for years that Russia played a role in electing him in 2016.

Normally, this would be appalling and result in a president's resignation. However, with Trump, this is how he normalizes lawlessness behavior. He makes his treason appear so matter of fact that many people will think that he can't be doing anything wrong if he is so open about it, because no reasonable person would do such a thing.

The problem here is trying to use a word like reasonable, which simply isn't in the demented and cunning mindset of Trump.

The New York Times wrote of the shocking Trump request transmitted through the DC press corps:

"The call for China to investigate Mr. Biden and his son Hunter’s business dealings there came as the first witness appeared on Capitol Hill to be interviewed by House investigators as part of an impeachment inquiry into the president’s request in a phone call for help from President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine.

Mr. Trump has defended his conversation with Mr. Zelensky as 'perfect' even after a reconstructed transcript of the call was released that showed him seeking help from Ukraine in investigating the Bidens. And he doubled down on his request on Thursday."

Compounding Trump’s corrupt appeal to China to help him smear a political opponent on Thursday morning, Trump also included Ukraine publicly in his appeal for foreign powers to assist his 2020 election campaign.

The Hill reported:

President Trump on Thursday publicly encouraged both China and Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son amid growing concerns over how Trump has used his position to pressure foreign governments to look into his political rivals.

“I would think that if they were honest about it they’d start a major investigation into the Bidens,” Trump told reporters at the White House when asked what he wanted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to do about the Bidens following the July 25 call between the two leaders.

In response to Trump’s astonishing lawless appeal, Adam Schiff sternly warned him,

"To have the president of the United States suggesting — urging — a foreign country to interfere in our presidential elections is an illustration that this president, if he learned anything from the two years of the Mueller investigation, it's that he feels he can do anything with impunity.

"The president of the United States encouraging a foreign nation to interfere again to help his campaign by investigating a rival is a fundamental breach of the presidential oath of office. It endangers our elections; it endangers our national security. It ought to be condemned by every member of this body, Democrats and Republicans alike."

Be prepared for the right-wing echo chamber of treacherous Republican politicians and shrill media to continue gaslighting the truth, even when Trump commits treason with the DC press corps there to record his infamy.
