Judge in Roger Stone Trial Slaps Down Stone's Motion to Disqualify Her

Roger Stone’s lawyers recently threw a Hail Mary, filing a motion to disqualify Judge Amy Berman Jackson, who presided over Stone’s trial for being a worthless ratfucker witness intimidation and lying to Congress.
Well, the response to the motion is in, and it didn’t go Stone’s way:
“At bottom, given the absence of any factual or legal support for the motion for disqualification, the pleading appears to be nothing more than an attempt to use the Court’s docket to disseminate a statement for public consumption with the words ‘judge’ and ‘biased’ in it.
“For these reasons, defendant’s motion is hereby DENIED.”
In other words, Stone is angling for a pardon, and by concocting a story about bias, he’s creating cover for Donald J. Trump, who is still at least one election and a garish military outfit away from being a full-fledged dictator.
Of course, one would think offering a pardon to an associate who was convicted of covering up your own malfeasance would be a bridge too far, but we passed that bridge hundreds of miles ago, sometime after getting carsick on truck stop corn dogs and Mountain Dew Baja Blast.
Nope, this is just America now. Enjoy.
