Supporters of Donald Trump looking for campaign information and merchandise on KeepAmericaGreat.com are in for quite a welcome.

“TRUMP IS A FRAUD AND A FAILURE,” the landing page reads in large block letters on a bright yellow background.

The domain, which bears the same slogan as Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign, was purchased by billionaire philanthropist and Democratic presidential candidate Tom Steyer. Steyer is one of several Democrats vying to take on Trump in the general election next November, and joined the packed field in July.

The website was launched on “cyber Monday,” according to a press release from the Steyer campaign.

The Trump campaign “forgot to pick up the URL for their signature re-election slogan, ‘Keep America Great,'” the Steyer campaign explained. “Now, the website offers the opportunity to purchase a bumper sticker that highlights what a majority of Americans already know about Donald Trump: that he’s a fraud and failure who borrowed billions of dollars to bankrupt businesses.”

Steyer founded NextGen America, a grassroots organizing group, in 2013, long before Trump came to power. Since 2017, Steyer has been a leading advocate of impeaching Trump, spending millions of dollars spearheading the “Need to Impeach” movement.

The House of Representatives finally opened an impeachment investigation into Trump’s actions with regard to Ukraine back in September. Among other things, the inquiry is focused on a July 25 phone call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, during which Trump pressed Zelenskiy to launch an investigation into his political rival, former Vice President Joe Biden, and a debunked conspiracy theory involving the Democratic National Committee.

A whistleblower complaint filed not long after that phone call and subsequent testimony from administration officials revealed Trump had withheld critical aid to Ukraine and dangled the possibility of a crucial White House visit to secure such an investigation.

The House Judiciary Committee is in the process of deciding whether or not to propose articles of impeachment, following weeks of investigation, as well as public and closed-door depositions, by the House Intelligence Committee.

As of the end of September, Steyer had already spent $47 million on his bid to become the Democratic nominee. In national polls, Steyer sits at around 1.6%, according to a RealClearPolitics aggregate. He polls slightly higher in Iowa and New Hampshire, the first two states to hold nominating contests. Steyer polls at 2.3% in Iowa and 3.3% in New Hampshire.

Former Vice President Joe Biden continues to lead in national polls, while Pete Buttigieg, mayor of South Bend, Indiana, leads in both Iowa and New Hampshire.
