Republican Congressman and Trumpster Matt Gaetz Kicked Out of Impeachment Hearing He Tried to Crash

Florida GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz, who has made defending Trump his mission in Congress, was kicked out of a closed-door deposition on Monday with a former Trump aide, Politico’s Kyle Cheney reported.
Gaetz attempted to attend a deposition with Fiona Hill, Trump’s former adviser on Russia and Europe who resigned from Trump’s National Security Council over the summer. Hill said Trump’s removal of Ukrainian Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch was an abuse of power, according to the New York Times, and she is appearing before House investigators even though the White House said it was going to block anyone from cooperating with the impeachment inquiry.
But Gaetz is not a member of any of the three committees involved in the deposition, and thus was not allowed in the room — something Gaetz told reporters that the House Parliamentarian confirmed.

“Mr. Schiff told me I had to leave,” Gaetz said, according to Cheney.
Gaetz was caught on cameras on Capitol Hill leaving the deposition looking dejected, smoothing his hair back as he sulked away.
This is not the first time Gaetz has fallen on his face in his attempt to protect Trump.
Over the summer, Gaetz pretended to be on the border to show that Trump was making good on his promise to build a border wall between the U.S. and Mexico. However Gaetz wasn’t at the border, and the “wall” he was standing by was merely a prototype.
Gaetz also tried to introduce a childish bill in the spring to taunt Schiff.
Now, however, it’s Schiff getting the last laugh as Gaetz sulked away from the deposition.
