"Remarkable Man of the People," Kayleigh McEnany Praised Joe Biden in 2015: Now, She Trashes Him as Trump Press Secretary

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany is roundly being criticized, along with Trump, for also serving as an adviser to the Trump Campaign. According to The Daily Beast,
White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany appears to have taken on a new gig. In addition to her role as a government employee, she’s now serving as a senior aide on her boss’s reelection campaign.
In an appearance on Fox News on Tuesday morning, McEnany was introduced as “Trump 2020 senior adviser and White House press secretary.” A few hours later, Fox Business Network host Stuart Varney introduced McEnany by saying she is “serving now as adviser for the Trump campaign…”
“This looks like the latest example of Trump administration officials bending and breaking ethics laws and norms,” said Paul Seamus Ryan, the vice president of litigation for the group Common Cause. “This is unfortunately par for the course for this administration.”
McEnany’s role in being a Trump toady now and criticizing Biden appears a bit hypocritical, given that CNN has just unearthed the audio of a 2015 interview, in which McEnany lavishly praised Biden. According to CNN, McEnany, who was working for the RNC, was speculating on who would be a more effective Democratic candidate for president in 2016 against a Republican:
McEnany said Republicans would run into a problem in a potential race between Donald Trump and Biden. At the time, Biden was considering a run for the White House.
"I think the Republicans run into a problem if it is Joe Biden and if it is maybe a Trump on the other side," McEnany said on local New York's AM970. "Because Joe Biden, one of the things he is remarkable at is really kind of being a man of the people and resonating with middle class voters. Feeling like -- coming off as human. His gaffes -- as much as we make fun of them -- to a certain extent they make him look human. So not, since he's likable."
